‘Why did I want to work for Eneco eMobility? Mainly because of the company’s commitment to building a greener future. The transition to sustainable energy is vital if we are to leave a liveable planet behind for future generations. Playing a part in that is important to me.
I have been working as a Senior Functional Application Specialist at Eneco eMobility since February 2023. I’m jointly responsible for all our IT systems. My team works behind the scenes every day to ensure our colleagues can do their jobs properly. While this can involve more practical activities, such as providing internal training on how to use a system, it can also be highly technical. For instance, we are involved in design and procurement for new IT systems and perform tests and implement necessary system changes.
Eneco eMobility is always keeping ahead of the game and identifying opportunities that make my work interesting. For example, my team will soon receive extensive training about a new IT system that might benefit the organisation. Because we listen carefully and value each other’s input, we arrive at sound decisions together when it comes to improving our IT landscape.
Personal development is a priority at Eneco eMobility. I’m originally from India and have lived and worked in the Netherlands before. Although I don’t need to speak Dutch for my job, I would still like to attend a course. My manager encouraged me to do this straight away. The company has even offered to pay for the lessons. Eneco eMobility genuinely supports personal growth, and from day one, I have been made to feel very welcome here.’
