“Eneco eMobility gives you the opportunity to build something and truly make a difference“

Danicha Baars HR Advisor

Business analyst

After graduating, Danicha spent a year living in Prague. She says, “I was unsure of what I wanted to do, so it seemed a good idea to first get some work experience.” She got a job at Unilever in the HR department and adds, “This was my first introduction to the profession, and from that moment on, I knew exactly which master’s degree I wanted to pursue.” With her qualification in human resources in hand, Danicha applied for a job at Eneco eMobility. She describes it as “The company of the future – small, young, informal and green.”

From onboarding to offboarding

On starting at Eneco eMobility in March 2020, just before the pandemic, Danicha explains: “It was a crazy time, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying my new role. It’s fantastic to be given the opportunity to build something and truly make a difference.” Together with her team, she launched a new HR system and set up all job matrices, including corresponding salary scales. “I also maintain close contact with my colleagues in the Netherlands and Belgium. From starters to managers, from onboarding to offboarding – it makes my work really varied.”

Question behind the question

Danicha likes how Eneco eMobility’s focus on learning and development keeps her job both interesting and challenging, and she has recently followed a course on advisory skills. The most important lesson learned? “Keep on asking until you find the question that lies behind the original question. This is how you get to the heart of the matter and can give relevant advice.”

She definitely wants to continue learning: “There are many exciting aspects to HR that I find fascinating. Labour law and talent management, for example. At Eneco eMobility, it’s great that I can gain more in-depth knowledge in these areas.”

Passion Wall

She now spends half of her working week at the office and says, “As I live quite far away, I’m happy that the company offers hybrid working.” There are also plenty of reasons to come into the office on a regular basis, not least to attend the monthly social. “We all have a drink together, and a colleague tells us about their passion and how this benefits their work. A photo to illustrate their passion is then pinned on our Passion Wall.”

So, what’s Danicha’s passion? “Travelling and meeting new people. My photo on the wall is me in Prague. And travel, of course, is in Eneco eMobility’s DNA.”
